Three tutoring modes, one tutor.
Aluma is a single tutor that adapts to what you need: quick answers, worked-through depth, or advanced reasoning for the hardest problems.
Hermes
Best for quick, everyday questions where speed matters more than depth.
"What's the definition of photosynthesis?" or a fast vocab check before class.
Athena
Best for real studying, when you need the reasoning shown, not just the answer.
Working through a multi step algebra proof or a chemistry problem set line by line.
Zeus
Best for the hardest STEM work, long essays, and multi week projects.
Structuring a research paper outline or reasoning through a hard multi part physics problem.
How this actually works, under the hood
Hermes, Athena, and Zeus are tutoring modes, not separate AI products. Each mode combines prompting, tools, and evaluation tuned for a different kind of school work.
Aluma runs on third-party foundation models, currently Anthropic's Claude family. Aluma does not train its own foundation models.
Which modes are available depends on your plan. See pricing for current plan details.
