Momentum.
Streaks, XP, focus minutes, and badges, earned by studying, not by opening the app.
Studying is a habit before it's a skill, so Aluma keeps score of the habit. Every message earns XP, with a bonus the first time you show up each day. A streak counts consecutive days you actually studied. A Pomodoro timer tracks focus minutes against a daily goal. Badges unlock off real milestones, and the whole thing exports as a card you can share.
Every number here comes from work you actually did.
A streak day requires actually studying, not launching the app. Miss a day and it resets; there's no paid streak freeze.
10 XP per message, plus a 50 XP bonus on your first message of a new day. Enough to make showing up worth something without turning school into a slot machine.
The built-in Pomodoro timer logs focus minutes against a 50-minute daily goal, rolling over at midnight in your timezone, with an all-time total underneath.
First steps, On a roll (3-day streak), Week warrior (7), Unstoppable (30), Warmed up (500 XP), Dedicated (2,000), Scholar (10,000), Focused (1 hour), Deep worker (10 hours), Quiz taker (20 questions), Topic master (a concept at 100%), Spread the word (referred a friend).
Export a stats card as a PNG with your streak, XP, focus minutes, and mastery on it.
XP and focus minutes accrue as you work. Nothing to switch on.
The first message of a new day extends the streak and pays the bonus.
Start the Pomodoro timer against your daily goal.
Unlocks are announced once, then live in the badge grid.
Yes. Skip a day and it resets to zero. There's no streak freeze to buy, a streak you can pay to keep isn't measuring anything.
No. XP and badges are a record of what you've done, not a currency. Nothing in Aluma is locked behind them.
No. Ignore all of it and the tutor works exactly the same.
