# Aluma

> Aluma AI (Aluma) is a personal AI tutor and study assistant for students. It connects to school platforms like Google Classroom, Canvas, Schoology, Blackboard, and Blackbaud, organizes every assignment across every class into one timeline, and coaches students through the work step by step instead of doing it for them. Built solo by Krish Venkatraman, a 15 year old founder. Public web beta available today, with the Lumi Anywhere Chrome extension on the Chrome Web Store.

## What Aluma does

- Reads assignments from connected school platforms and identifies the concepts behind each one.
- Coaches students through problems with Socratic hints, live check questions, and transfer questions to confirm understanding.
- Tracks concept mastery on a learning ledger that updates every time the student practices.
- Generates flashcards, practice tests, and one tap study packs from a student's own notes and class material.
- Includes standardized test prep (ISEE, SSAT, HSPT, SHSAT, ACT, PSAT, SAT) and AP course practice.
- Balances the student's week with a calm planner, Pomodoro style study blocks, and urgency ranked assignments.
- Never writes into a student's document, never submits work for the student.
